For lack of a better word, it’s perfect

That being, the new remastered Blu-Ray Fifth Element. It looks amazing.

I had a pretty nutty weekend with driving up to Sac to visit the munchkin relations so I took the majority of my Sunday to relax and catch up on some much needed geeking and nerding out.

First, I began with a marathon session of Bioshock, completing about a half of the game in one sitting, turning my hands into rigid claws suitable for opening bottles and removing ten penny nails from concrete blocks.

Then I caught up on some X-Men, lotsa building up here aomngst the X-Books for a big showdown sometime in the near future. All kinds of big enemies coming out of the woodwork, Mr. Sinister, High Evolutionary, Dark Beast, Darkchild Ilyana Rasputin is back from the dead just like her brother…it’s really amazing I’m not thrown in garbage cans by football thugs on a regular basis.

Then I went right into Shaun of the Dead, but was kinda depressed because I was watching it in such a low standard DVD resolution.

Unacceptable.

Inspired by a righteous cause, I hurled myself off the couch at about 4pm, threw my body in the shower, and then chucked myself in the car to run some errands. I did get errands done, but they were thinly disguised by my selfish motivation to go get HD Shaun of the Dead…which looks fantastic btw. I observed a strange thing in the Target parking lot though…hmm…more on that later.

Anyhoo, back to the house for the SOTD and then on to Multipass in beautiful Blu-Ray, cause it’s the first time I saw it in a store in the right format, that being, not the crappy original mastering which looks like suck wrapped in crap.

So that was my contribution to the world today, but then, there’s been worse, enjoy.
